 Journaling is a good way to get the feelings you are feeling out.
To see how they look on paper.
To burn them in a fire pit is a good way to let those feelings go to the Universe.
We learned this in art therapy.
This is a tool we use for release and rebirth of thought.

 Today is a special day for Me. This is the day my second daughter was born, 19 years ago. My, how time flies.

I have done masks since entering puberty. In high school one of my nicknames was miss mud mask because I often went to bed with a towel on my pillow and a mask on my face. Durning my time in college I began getting facials as they were my investment in my skin as I didn't wear much makeup. I still go to the women I found all those years ago who had just emigrated here from Romania. She told me over the years that natural foods and remedies were best and the most inexpensive way to take care of our skin. Olive oil on the crows feet near the eyes. Hydrate with water and eat simple and natural vegetables like cucumbers and cabbage. She even wrote a book. It is good on self care.

her book, Timeless Woman, describes her methodology is explained and I kept it in my reading stack, it is good on life routines for wellness. 
She also wrote From My Neck Up and teaches you how to do exercises to bring back the muscles in your face as you age. 
Lavinia includes exercise in the form of yoga and hiking in her wellness routine and recommends tea in the morning with a sprinkle of cinnamon and cayenne. You don't need to spend a lot of money to care for your skin. The ingredients are in your pantry.

Children’s Literature

This book is about a queer child and it is not what I thought from the cover. Books that cover hard topics and individuals allow all people into a person's experience. This is good on acceptance.

Helping Kids understand Death, My personal Favorite book to describe death to kids is Lifetimes. There are others also, I highlighted some on an earlier Blog post. 



Death is one of the most difficult subjects to talk about with a child. It’s so vast, so many things to so many people that, like wandering Macy’s the week before Christmas, it’s hard to know where to start and you’re tempted to avoid it altogether. There is the obvious fear of traumatizing your child, giving her too long a look into the abyss. There is also the self-conscious suspicion that whatever you end up saying will ultimately reveal more about who you are than it will about the subject itself. Thankfully, a host of new picture books tackle “taking the ferry,” staring down that overtly thwarting subject, and making it personal, peaceful and approachable.

Garrett Morgan: Inventor of the Three-Position Traffic Signal

With just a grade school education, Morgan invented numerous devices that enhanced people's lives, including one that revolutionized transportation.
(March 4, 1877 – July 27, 1963) was an African-American inventor, businessman, and community leader. His most notable inventions were a three position traffic signaland a smoke hood notably used in a 1916 tunnel construction disaster rescue.

The first American-made automobiles were introduced to consumers just before the turn of the twentieth century, and pedestrians, bicycles, animal-drawn wagons and motor vehicles all had to share the same roads. To deal with the growing problem of traffic accidents, a number of versions of traffic signaling devices began to be developed, starting around 1913.
Morgan had witnessed a serious accident at an intersection, and he filed a patent for a traffic control device having a third "warning" position in 1922. The patent was granted in 1923,[20] though this was not the first system with a warning, a three-light system being invented in 1920 by William Potts, and previous systems having audible warnings.
